Assessment Process

Our preliminary assessment interviews are designed to explore two threads of evidence about each individual candidate. Firstly, professional knowledge, skills and experience are tested to assure that the candidate has the requisite abilities to fulfil the demands of the role. Secondly, personal and behavioural traits are assessed to test the candidate’s ability to fit into the culture and working practices of your company.

The best indicator of future performance is past performance, so we look carefully at each candidate’s past history and track record. When we present you with a short list, we do so in the expectation that each individual on it has the skills you need. If we have any reservations about any candidate who is otherwise excellent, we will tell you.

Our consultants develop a strong relationship with candidates based on mutual trust. They are in an ideal position to monitor and evaluate candidates’ reactions during critical areas of the appointment process. Candidates’ concerns about the nature of a new role, potential terms of engagement and coping with the stress of the transition process are areas in which our consultants are ideally placed to intercede positively, objectively advising you and the candidate about how an amicable consensus may be reached.
