Area Manager

Our client is one of the largest Retail operators within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and North Africa.  It was set up as 100% Saudi Capital Enterprise through its parent company. Employing over 4,000 people. Established in the eighties, it success and brand recognition has been generated from creating a wide range and diversity of its good and services. It offers the consumer more that 80,000 SKUs and has been recognised and awarded a number of leading industry awards in recent years.  They have operations across many of the Gulf States and North Africa. 
 
Our Client has become a cash rich business looking to compete with other global leaders by investing in all areas of the retail sector. Their investment strategy is becoming more process driven and commercially focused. They are looking to the UK for the skills they need for future growth. They are seeking for talented individuals to join the management team at Area Management level.  
 
Stores range in size from 10,000 sq.m up to 80,000 sq.m and have as many as 250 employees within one store.    They are looking to recruit a customer focused, commercially driven Area Manager who feels that now is the right time in there career to control the whole operation rather than just segments of the business. Your communication, training and business management skills are key elements that will be put to the test. You will be prepared and equipped to face and manage the daily challenges that come with store operations of this level. You must have a flexible approach, prepared to travel extensively by air and implement substantial change within areas of the business. As a corporate, hands-on individual you will be prepared to commit to the business for the foreseeable future to help develop the existing team and to grow as they grow.

Reporting to the Stores Operations Director you will have responsibility for your group of four stores entire operational performance including the recruitment and training, of your senior team. You will be closely involved to ensuring that you have an operational Store Management team with the right processes and disciplines to handle the demand of trade.
 
As a potential Area Manager you will have held relevant management positions within the retail sector, such as area manager, operations manager, loss prevention multi site role or ever experienced store management looking for there next step on the ladder. Alternatively, you may have experience of managing a team in a sales focused, results orientated environment where the outstanding results of your team have not only allowed you to progress within your current business but also allowed your team members to grow with you. You display a determination to meet customer expectations, a healthy attitude to competition and you are a natural inspirational leader. You have a good eye for detail and potential sales opportunities as well as the ability to not only hit targets, but to exceed them.
